LEED for Homes is a voluntary third-party certification system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. LEED homes are healthier, more comfortable, have lower utility bills and homes perform better than the average home. LEED certification is something that consumers can look for to identify homes that have been third-party inspected, performance-tested and certified as green homes that will perform better than conventional homes. Homebuilders using LEED are able to differentiate their homes as representative of national leadership in green building practices.
Integral Impact is LEED for Homes Provider Rep/Rater with Earth Advantage. We work with builders in California to support them in the construction of LEED certified homes. LEED for Homes Providers work with local builders in the following capacities:
☐ Helping builders register their projects with LEED for Homes
☐ Performing the preliminary review of a project’s LEED documentation
☐ Submitting documentation to USGBC for certification
☐ Completing the required onsite green inspections and coordinating HERS ratings for home energy performance
☐ Training, coordinating, and overseeing green raters and builder support staff
